The world of Twitter was shocked when the Genshin Impact account carried Elon Musk's name in a challenge for his player community. Soon Musk responded to the tease, what did he say?
It all started from the @GenshinImpact account tease which provided a challenge for fans in order to celebrate its two million followers. The challenge invites Genshin Impact fans to follow the Twitter account of Ella Musk, one of the non -playable characters (NPCs) in Genshin Impact, at @Paimon2theMoon.
The challenge itself is fairly ordinary, but Genshin Impact promises a pretty strange reward. Call it, if the @Paimon2theMoon account gets 500 thousand followers, then the @GenshinImpact account will change its name to Paimon.
After that, Elon Musk's name was brought into this challenge. Genshin Impact said if the @Paimon2theMoon account gets 1 million followers then they will follow Elon Musk's Twitter account.
If it can get 3 million followers, Genshin Impact will invite Musk to stream this game made by miHoYo. Finally, if it gets 5 million followers, CEO miHoYo Dawei will invite Musk to their headquarters.

Unfortunately, this challenge actually received a negative response from Genshin Impact fans. The teaser about the challenge was later removed by Genshin Impact, and the @Paimon2theMoon account only gained about 60,000 followers before the challenge was canceled.
Although it has been removed, Musk is still aware of the existence of this strange challenge. In his tease, Musk said he can't wait to appear at Genshin Impact, as quoted from Forbes, Friday (15/10/2021).
From his teasing language, Musk seems to think that he will be present as one of the characters in Genshin Impact, when that is not what was promised. But Musk is indeed a gamer who has previously talked about games like Cyberpunk 2077 on Twitter.
It is not known why Genshin Impact hired Elon Musk for this challenge. The only connection between the two is the name Ella Musk which is of course inspired by the boss of SpaceX and Tesla.
It is natural that this Genshin Impact challenge gets a negative reaction from its fans. Recently, Genshin Impact and miHoYo were criticized by players for being considered stingy when sharing their first birthday rewards even though they had been helped to raise billions of dollars.
