Speedtest, the internet connection test service provider site around the world reports the Speedtest Global Index for September 2021. How much is Indonesia's internet speed compared to other countries?
Indonesia's latest internet speed shows an increase compared to August.
Indonesia rose four ranks to rank 108th out of 138 countries in the world with an average mobile internet download speed of 23.12 Mbps. Previously, this RI connection was at 21.96 Mbps.
Still the same as the previous editions of the Speedtest Global Index, Indonesia's mobile internet speed is not better than neighboring countries in Southeast Asia. Here's the order of the best in Southeast Asia:
Singapore 105.01 Mbps (ranked 17th)
Brunei Darussalam 67.32 Mbps (rank 36)
Thailand 56.90 Mbps (ranked 49)
Vietnam 43.32 Mbps (ranked 59)
Philippines 35.03 Mbps (ranked 72)

Talking about fixed broadband internet speed, Indonesia's position in the world is even worse than a mobile internet connection.
Indonesia has dropped two places to 116th position out of 181 countries with an average fixed broadband internet download speed of 27.83 Mbps, slightly different from Komboja above with an internet speed of 28.32 Mbps (115).

Overall, the September 2021 Speedtest Global Index shows that global internet speeds for downloads in the mobile category reach 63.15 Mbps, internet upload speeds of 13.37 Mbps, and latency of 36 ms.
Meanwhile, global fixed broadband internet speed for downloads reached 113.25 Mbps, internet upload speed was 62.45 Mbps, and latency was 19 ms.
