Apple Releases iOS 15.1, Here's Its New Features and List of iPhones That Get It


 Apple has just rolled out the iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1 updates. A number of updates are included in it, but need to update or not?

iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1 bring a number of important features that can be a reason to update your iPhone or iPad operating system. One of them embedded by Apple is SharePlay, this is a new way to share experiences with family and friends on FaceTime.


This release also adds ProRes video recording capabilities to iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, as well as a COVID-19 vaccination card that can be verified in the Apple Wallet app, and last but not least bug fixes for iPhone. SharePlay is a new way to share on FaceTime featuring content from Apple TV, Apple Music, and other supported apps

Shared controls give everyone the ability to pause, play, rewind, or fast forward

Smart volume automatically reduces the sound of movies, TV shows, or songs when the user's friends are talking

Apple TV supports the option to watch shared videos on the big screen while users continue a FaceTime call on iPhone

Screen sharing allows everyone on a FaceTime call to view photos, surf the web, or help others


Camera

Record ProRes videos with iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max

Settings to disable automatic camera switching when taking macro photos and recording macro videos on iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max


Apple Wallet

COVID-19 vaccine card support allows users to add and present verifiable vaccination information from the Apple Wallet app

Translate

Support for Chinese (Taiwanese) in Translator app and for system-wide translation

How to Update iOS 15.1

Currently, iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1 have been released for OTA form. You can upgrade directly on iPhone and iPad devices. Make sure to use a WiFi connection because the file to be downloaded is quite large.
