Jennifer Gates is married in Islam to Nayel Nassar, an equestrian athlete from Egypt. Did Jennifer become a convert to Islam? The answer is not known with certainty.
Media in foreign countries only reported that Jennifer and Nassar were married in a private Islamic ceremony on Friday (15/10) evening United States time. Then the civil registration was carried out and a reception the next day with 300 invited guests attending.
Maybe because in foreign countries, religion is a private matter for each individual so it is not discussed in detail whether Jennifer follows Nassar's beliefs.

"It's really none of our business what their religion is," wrote another netizen in the Daily Mail's comment column. In her interview, Jennifer Gates indicated that it was true that she married first religiously and only held the main reception the next day.
"Our main wedding ceremony took place on Saturday. It was a beautiful fall day. The ceremony was facilitated by old friends and family. It was a special and intimate moment," Jennifer said of her wedding.
Bill Gates himself looked happy and was present with his ex-wife to celebrate the wedding of their eldest child.
"Jenn and Nayel, it's impossible to say how happy I am to see you all filled with joy on your wedding day. I'm so proud of you both for all that you have accomplished in life so far and all that you will do in the future together." so he wrote.
The ex-wife of Bill Gates also congratulated. "How happy to celebrate Jennifer and Nayel Nassar's love last week. So grateful we were able to find a way to safely gather on this special day," wrote Melinda Gates.
Jennifer also replied. "The best mother to the bride. We love you more than words can describe," he wrote.
