Manchester United's painful defeat to Liverpool 0-5 at home is still pretty much discussed. Recently, Manchester United striker Marcus Rahsford voiced an apology via Twitter. But even quite a lot of netizens who satirize him.
"As a United fan, I really don't know what to say after that Sunday. I'm ashamed. Our fans are everything and you guys don't deserve that. We are working hard to try and fix this. We have to recover ourselves." wrote more or less.
The tweet was very popular with netizens. There are already more than 70 thousand likes and thousands of reply comments.
"Fair play but aren't you guys tired of meaningless apologies like this?" wrote one netizen. "This apology is too short, make it longer and we will accept it," wrote another.
"We've been hearing this since the start of the season. The only way for real change to happen is a new manager," said the next netizen who wants Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be sacked immediately.
"Talk is easy, play collectively rather than individually. We don't need your apology Marcus Rashford. You're still going to run with the ball and then lose the ball," said another.
But not a few who support it and provide opportunities. "Don't say anything. Just go to Tottenham, Atalanta and get all 6 points. Beat City 5-0 at Old Trafford on my birthday," wrote one supporter.
Previously, Cristiano Ronaldo had already spoken through Instagram. "Sometimes the result is not what we fought for. Sometimes the score is not what we want. And this is our responsibility, only us, because no one else is to blame," he wrote on his official Instagram account as seen Monday (25/10/2021) .
"Our fans, once again, their constant support is amazing. They deserve better than this, much better, and it's up to us to make it happen. The time is now."
