The race into outer space is going on between the rich, from Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, to Richard Branson. Some people do not support him for several reasons, including the latest being Prince William.
The British Crown Prince said the main task today was to fix the Earth, instead of traversing the continent into space like them.
"We need some of the world's greatest minds to try to fix the planet, not even try to find the next place and live there," he said.
In the Cop26 climate event, he also recently warned that although the Earth's problems have begun to worsen, world leaders are only good at talking but their actions are not enough to counter climate change and global warming.
"Solutions will be important. We can't keep talking smart words but not acting enough," he criticized.
Prince William said climate change today has caused great anxiety, especially among young people who will face the future. They are worried that the Earth will no longer be a safe place to live.
"We are seeing an increase in anxiety about the climate. Young people are now growing up where their future is fundamentally threatened. This is very unsettling and worrying," he added.
Prince William wanted to make sure his grandchildren could live comfortably. "I want the things I enjoy, nature, the environment, outdoor life, to continue to exist for my child and not only him but also for other people's children," said Prince William.
