Qualcomm Officially Announces Snapdragon 778G+, 695, 680 and 480+


 Qualcomm officially announced the presence of four new mobile chipsets, namely Snapdragon 778G+, Snapdragon 695, Snapdragon 680 and Snapdragon 480+. What are the advantages?

Only Snapdragon 778G+, Snapdragon 695, S and Snapdragon 480+ support 5G connection, while Snapdragon 680 only offers 4G LTE support. However, Qualcomm hopes that all of its new products will provide OEMs with additional options to meet consumer demands.

Snapdragon 778G+

Snapdragon 778G+ is the successor to Snapdragon 778G which brings GPU and CPU performance improvements, designed to deliver a user-satisfying mobile gaming experience and artificial intelligence (AI) enhancements to deliver stunning photo and video experiences.


Made with 6 nm fabrication that has been refined to allow for higher clock speeds. Embedded Kryo 670 Prime which runs at 2.5 GHz (up from 2.4 GHz).




In addition, the Adreno 642L GPU has also been upgraded, promising 20% ​​higher performance. As before, Qualcomm installed the X53 5G modem for uplink up to 3.7 Gbps and uplink 1.6 Gbps and triple IPS (Spectra 570L).


Snapdragon 695

Snapdragon 695 delivers globally available 5G networks for mmWave and sub-6 GHz networks. The platform features up to 30% faster graphics rendering and a 15% increase in CPU performance (compared to Snapdragon 690), enabling a more immersive gaming experience, quality image capture, and increased productivity.


Snapdragon 680

Snapdragon 680 is built with 5nm technology, designed to deliver engaging experiences throughout the day, including optimized gaming and low-light shooting technology via Triple ISP and enhanced AI. As 5G adoption continues to be echoed around the world, the Snapdragon 680 helps meet the need to deliver great LTE experiences.


Snapdragon 480+

Snapdragon 480+ is equipped with an X51 modem that allows users to access globally available 5G connectivity, both Sub-6 and mmWave. This chipset is provided with increased performance to support productivity and entertainment experiences.


The Snapdragon 480+ is still an 8nm chip with a relatively old Kryo 460 CPU core and an Adreno 619 GPU. However, the main CPU now runs at 2.2 GHz (up from 2.0 GHz), the GPU is also accelerated. This chip also supports screens with Full HD + resolution and refresh rates up to 120Hz.
