The World's Richest Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos Sent Silver Medal

Elon Musk becomes the richest person in the world beating Jeff Bezos. He also admitted to sending Bezos a medal and a statue bearing the number '2' via email to Forbes.

On Monday (27/9/2021), Elon Musk became the third person to amass a fortune of $200 billion, according to Forbes, surpassing Amazon founder and billionaire rival Jeff Bezos.

"I sent a giant figurine with the number '2' to Jeffrey B, along with a silver medal," Musk wrote in a brief email.

This scorn from the eccentric Tesla and SpaceX CEO is hardly surprising. Musk often uses Twitter to mock Bezos. He even labeled Bezos as a 'copycat' twice. The first was in April 2019, when Amazon announced plans to launch an internet-radiating satellite to compete with Musk's SpaceX. Second, in June 2020, when Amazon acquired self-driving car company Zoox.

Not to mention the feud between Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk over the contract to the Moon with NASA. NASA, which ultimately chose the SpaceX company, ended up getting a lawsuit from Bezos -- of course Elon Musk didn't stay silent and satirize him.

In recent years, these two men have often gone up and down in rank 1 and 2 for total wealth issues. Musk's fortune was worth $24.6 billion as of March 2020, nearly $90 billion less than Bezos at the time. In August 2020, Bezos became the first person to have a net worth of $200 billion as Amazon stock soared.

But a remarkable rally in the shares of Musk's electric vehicle company, Tesla, rose 720% in 2020. This helped Musk catch up, and he briefly became the world's richest man in January 2021. The pair have swapped titles several times this year.

But, recently Musk was in first place, estimated to be worth USD 200.7 billion. Bezos is the second richest person, with an estimated $192.5 billion.
