2022 Best Game Nominations Announced, There's Resident Evil: Village

 


The Game Awards 2021 has officially announced the nominations for the best game of the year. There are at least six titles that are familiar among gamers. What do you think?

This year's Game of the Year nominees are Deathloop (Arkane Studios/Bethesda), It Takes Two (Hazelight Studios/EA), Metroid Dream (Mercury Steam/Nintendo), Psychonauts 2 (Double FINe/Xbox Game Studios), Ratchet & Clank : Rift Apart (Insomniac Games/SIE) and Resident Evil: Village (Capcom)," wrote The Game Awrds.


A total of 107 games will be featured in this award. Then the new combination between Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda, became the publisher with the most players presenting up to 20 nominations.



Then followed by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) with 11 nominations, Square Enix and Electronic Arts (EA) each submitted 10 nominations.


The plan is for the biggest game award event in the world, to be held on December 9, 2021. It will be held offline but without an audience, at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles and broadcast live.



"We are bringing together a diverse group of game developers, players and luminaries to advance gaming as the most immersive, challenging and inspiring form of entertainment," wrote The Game Awards.


Not only presenting stunning AAA games, the audience will later be able to watch music performances and several premieres. However, it is certain that this event will remain focused on the main goal, namely the game.


The Game Awards itself, has been held annually since 2014. Led by game industry leader Geoff Keighley and collaborates with big names in game development and media.


The number of fans is always growing, with a fairly large spike. Even the numbers obtained, beat the Hollywood film award event, namely the Oscars.


As in the previous event in 2020. Where this event, got the highest number of viewers reaching 83 million pairs of eyes.
