Meta is currently reportedly preparing to launch an agent-based AI offering like OpenClaw called Hatch. Meta is expected to launch the service as early as August or September.
Not only that, Meta is also developing a new AI model internally for launch around October. Both of these steps are seen as in line with Mark Zuckerberg's focus on offering artificial intelligence services, and competing with others in the arena.
Mark Zuckerberg was previously disappointed by failing to dominate the smartphone market like Google and Apple. In order not to be left out in the next technology, Mark Zuckerberg invested heavily in the augmented reality arena, aiming for it to be the next arena. However, suddenly, the artificial intelligence arena exploded and saw the birth of new brands such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
Mark Zuckerberg did not give up, and also shifted a number of investments to the development of artificial intelligence, and made acquisitions of a number of companies and talents to continue strengthening their products.
Despite having a high user reach through WhatsApp, Instagram and others, Meta AI’s usage is still low – because it is seen as less smart or intelligent than other models. However, with a good model, as well as agent-based AI integration, this may change.
According to initial reports, hatch is expected to integrate control with a number of popular applications in the United States, making it easier for users to perform commands and automate a number of things. This service offering is also expected to allow Meta to generate additional revenue through user subscriptions.
With this new development, we all look forward to whether Mark Zuckerberg and Meta can lead the artificial intelligence arena or not.
