New Features of One UI 4 on Samsung Galaxy phones

Samsung has just rolled out One UI 4 which brings a lot of new features. Currently, the update is only available on the Galaxy S21 series, but Samsung has confirmed that it will soon bring it to other Galaxy phones.

Janghyun Yoon, Executive Vice President and Head of Software Platform Team at Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics, said: "We are committed to giving everyone access to the best mobile experiences. One UI 4 delivers on that promise, equipping Galaxy smartphone users with the latest in customization and privacy features.

"Soon, other smartphone and tablet users will also be able to take advantage of this software update, having a smoother experience across our entire ecosystem," said Yoon.

New Features in One UI 4

1. Express User Personality

One UI 4 allows users to express their individual personalities. With a wide variety of new Color Palettes to choose from, you can change the look and feel of everything from the home screen to icons, menus, buttons and backgrounds.

The One UI 4 user interface features simplified interactions and a clean and elegant design. Users get customization options in every

chance.

There are widgets that are redesigned and offer deeper customization, from visibility to appearance. We can even put important widgets on the Lock screen such as calendar or voice recorder. So that when needed it can be used directly without the need to open the lock screen.

2. Emojis

Samsung provides a more interesting and diverse range of emojis in one place, so users can easily configure options to enjoy a more exciting communication experience.

If one emoji is still lacking, users can also combine two emojis into one animation to really express the feeling of the moment. Express yourself with a wider variety of emoji, GIF, and sticker features available right from the keyboard.

3. Privacy

With One UI 4, Samsung brings the latest enhancements to privacy and security features. So users can choose whatever they want

shared or kept secret.

With One UI 4, it's easier to monitor and control privacy settings, such as providing alerts when apps try

access the camera or microphone.

There's a new privacy dashboard that puts all your settings and controls in one convenient place to monitor. So users can temporarily block camera and microphone access to all apps easily.

One UI 4 also takes advantage of an extension to Android 12's permission options, allowing users to see a history of things they've allowed in the last seven days, not just the last 24 hours.

User can also check the current data usage of allowed things and used apps.

4. Ecosystem

One UI 4 helps users make the most of a broad ecosystem that spans from Samsung's suite of devices to third-party apps, providing a more robust mobile experience.

Samsung's partnerships with other industry leaders, such as Google, ensure a seamless experience when using users' favorite third-party apps and services. And whether using the Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Watch, or Galaxy Tab, users will get the same look and feel across devices, and can sync between devices seamlessly.
