Qualcomm announced the Tech Summit 2021. At this event, it is strongly suspected that Qualcomm will give birth to the Snapdragon 888 successor chipset, the Snapdragon 898.
For Snapdragon 898, issues have continued to emerge, starting from the phone that will be planted with this SoC to being on the Geekbench site.
Meanwhile, the Tech Summit is Qualcomm's annual event. Usually at the event they will announce the latest flagship chipset.
As quoted from Phone Arena, Sunday (11/7/2021), the 2021 Tech Summit will take place from November 30 to December 2, 2021.
So far, no more detailed information has been submitted by Qualcomm regarding the 2021 Tech Summit which will be held virtually.
According to rumors circulating recently, the model number of the chip is SM8450 and will use the latest design from Arm.
This SoC has a tri-cluster architecture featuring the main Cortex X2 core running at 3.0 GHz. This is accompanied by three Cortex-A710 cores running at 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A510 power-saving cores running at 1.79 GHz.
The rumor also appears confirming that the Snapdragon 898 features GP Adreno 730. In addition, the X65 5G modem can deliver speeds of up to 10 Gpbs. This chip is also likely to carry the latest ISP and NPU.
Snapdragon 898 will be manufactured using 4nm manufacturing by Samsung and TSMC. As in previous years, Qualcomm will announce its latest flagship chipset in December and the first phones using this chipset will be introduced a month later.
Usually the vendor that will use the latest chipset from Qualcomm for the first time is Xiaomi. So if you follow the rumors circulating, it is likely that the first phone to use Snapdragon 898 is the Xiaomi 12.
