The draw results for the Group Stage Arena of Valor (AOV) International Championship (AIC) 2021 5th Anniversary, are out. 14 teams from eight regions, divided into two big groups.
Representatives of Indonesia, Archangel, joined in Group B, or can be referred to as Group Hell. There are winning teams such as Saigon Phantom (Vietnam), Hong Kong Attitude (Chinese Taipei), ONE Team Esports (Chinese Taipei), UndeRank (MSP), Team Flash (Vietnam), and Valencia CF Esports (Thailand).
Group Stage AIC 2021, will start on 27 November - 5 December. Followed by the Quarter Finals, on 9-12 December 2021. Then the Semi Finals, 17-18 December and ending with the Grand Finals, 19 December.
The Archangel team had to fight hard, in order to qualify for the Quarter Finals. The reason is, there are Hong Kong Attitude (Garena Challenger Series Champion), Saigon Phantom (Arena of Glory Champion), ONE Team Esports (Garena Challenger Series Runner Up), Valencia CF Esports (Runner Up Arena of Glory), Team Flash (3 Arena Champion) of Glory), and the MSP qualifying champion, UndeRank.

The following are the results of the AIC 2021 5th Anniversary Group Stage drawing:
Group A: dtac x Talon (Thailand), Buriram United Esports (Thailand), MAD Team (Chinese Taipei), XeSports (Japan), Team Olympus (Korea), All Gamers (China), and V Gaming (Vietnam).
Group B: Saigon Phantom (Vietnam), Archangel (Indonesia), Hong Kong Attitude (Chinese Taipei), ONE Team Esports (Chinese Taipei), UndeRank (MSP), Team Flash (Vietnam), and Valencia CF Esports (Thailand).
The tournament will take place online, to ensure fans can enjoy, one of the most anticipated esports tournaments, in a safe and exciting way. Continuing the success of AWC 2021, the competition will also use virtual concepts and immersive digital broadcast formats.
AIC 2021 Tournament Format
AIC 2021 5th Anniversary Group Stage, will use the Best-of-2 Global Ban Pick format. The best four teams from the group stage qualify for the Quarter Finals.
The winning team in the group stage will get 3 points, a draw will result in 1 point and the losing team will get no points at all.
Entering the Quarter Finals, each team must play a Double Elimination format. Those who lose will enter the Loser Bracket and the winning team will advance to the first phase of the Quarter Finals Winner Bracket.
In this phase, the Best-of-7 (BO7) Global Ban Pick format will be used. Participants who experience defeat can still advance to the Grand Finals through Winner Bracket Semi Finals and Loser Bracket Semi Finals.
The matches in the 2021 AIC Group Stage will be broadcast in five languages, namely Indonesian, English, Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese. All supporters of the Indonesian team can watch the match, through the official YouTube and Facebook accounts of Garena AOV Indonesia.
