Want to release a Surface Pro 8 competitor, Asus?

Asus is said to be releasing a successor to the ROG Flow X13 laptop, but with a convertible design that resembles the Microsoft Surface Pro 8.

This leak appeared in a post on the @evleaks account, which he said would be named ROG Flow Z13 and it does look similar to the Surface Pro 8 design. Not much information is spread by accounts that often have accurate leaks of the latest cellphone.

For information, X13 is a gaming laptop that can be connected to an external graphics card called XG Mobile to increase its capabilities, especially when used to play games.

While the X13 itself is a thin and light laptop that is comfortable to carry around. Inside is a processor up to Ryzen 9 5980HS and a GTX 1650 GPU.

This laptop weighs only 1.3 kilograms and is only 15.8mm thick, and is equipped with a USB Power Delivery feature that allows charging via a special 100W USB Type-C adapter.

XG Mobile also functions as a USB dock with a variety of port options. So that the thin and light X13 can turn into a high-powered desktop PC.

If these features were brought to the Flow Z13, the combination would be very interesting. That is a convertible device (tablet) equipped with a keyboard cover, and can be transformed into a desktop PC like.

Interestingly, the X13 is not yet a year old, and Asus has already prepared a successor to the laptop. Oh yes, evleaks also posted leaks of other products from Asus, namely the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 and TWS ROG laptops.

It's not clear where this leak came from, but maybe these devices will be released at CES 2022 which will be held in January 2022. Or Asus could prepare a separate event to release the product.
