Apple Reportedly Destroys Physical SIM Card Slots Totally




 Apple plans to destroy the existence of a physical SIM card slot on the iPhone. Wow, are you ready for an iPhone 15 without a physical SIM card slot?

Yes, so the rumors that are currently circulating that the physical SIM card slot was removed on the iPhone 15, as quoted from GSM Arena, Monday (12/27/2012).



Currently, the iPhone generation has entered its 13th generation. The news is that in the next few months Apple will introduce the iPhone 14. However, the issue of the iPhone 15 also follows, especially regarding the absence of a physical SIM card slot anymore.




According to Brazilian publication Blog do iPhone, the Pro 2023 model (temporarily called the iPhone 15 Pro) will not have a physical SIM card slot. Later the iPhone is completely dependent on eSIM technology.


The eSIM itself has been introduced by Apple since the iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and iPhone XS Max. It's just that, it doesn't use eSIM fully, but still combines it with a physical SIM card slot or they call it the DSDS or Dual SIM feature, dual standby.


Furthermore, a source from the blog claims that in the future the iPhone will run eSIM simultaneously for the two slots of the newest device.



The issue of the iPhone without a physical SIM card slot is still not disclosed by Apple. However, what is clear, it is an innovation, but on the other hand it will be a challenge, especially in a market that still offers a SIM card slot.
