Currently, there are still many Android users who are waiting for the stable version of the Android 12 update and Android 12L is still in the beta stage. Even so, the development of Android 13 is already underway and some of its new features have been leaked.
This leak comes from XDA Developers who got the information from a source with access to the early builds of Android 13. Since it's still in the early stages of development, it's possible that this feature could change in the final version.
From this leak it is also known that Android 13 carries the internal name 'Tiramisu', continuing Google's tradition of giving dessert names to all versions of Android.
As for the new feature, one of the promising features of Android 13 is the option to set a different language in each app. Currently in all versions of Android users can only enable one language for system-wide settings.
This feature can be useful for users who are fluent in many languages. This feature called 'Panlingual' can be accessed via the 'App Language' menu in the settings.
Google is also preparing new access permissions for notifications. Currently Android users are required to receive notifications from the app and have to manually opt-out to turn it off.
With this new feature, users can choose to allow the app to display notifications or not. This method is similar to how the user chooses to give the app permission to the location or camera.
Android 13 is also likely to introduce a new feature called 'Android Resource Economy' that can help users keep their phone's battery lasts longer.
With this feature, the app will be given credits based on the phone's battery level. These credits can then be redeemed for performing certain tasks. It seems that the less power is left, the less credit is given to the application.
Lastly, Google will likely bring a visual change to the lock screen clock so that it can be displayed in one line. As is known, currently the lock screen clock display always changes to two lines if no notifications come in, as quoted from Gizmodo, Friday (12/24/2021).
As for the interface itself, Android 13 looks identical to Android 12. But this is quite reasonable considering that the operating system has not yet entered the developer preview phase, let alone beta.
If it is in accordance with previous years, it is likely that Google will introduce Android 13 at the Google I / O event in the fall of next year.
