New Way to Send WhatsApp Voice Messages: Can Be Heard First

Voice messages are one of the most used WhatsApp features. Now WhatsApp users can listen to voice messages that are created before they are sent.

This feature was first discovered by WABetaInfo last May, and is now only being launched after going through a beta trial period. Currently, WhatsApp's voice message preview feature is available on all platforms, including iOS, Android, web, and desktop, as quoted from The Verge, Thursday (16/12/2021).

Before this feature was provided directly by WhatsApp, users had to use third-party applications to listen back to voice messages that were created before they were sent. Once this feature is available, users no longer need to use third-party applications.

How to listen to WhatsApp voice messages before they are sent is actually easy, namely:

Open the WhatsApp application and select the contact or group you want to send a voice message to

Tap and hold the microphone icon in the chat input field, then swipe up to activate hands-free voice recording. It should be noted that this feature can only be activated for hands-free voice recording

Start talking

Once you're done recording your message, tap the stop icon in the shape of a red square inside a circle

Tap the triangular play icon to listen to the recorded sound again. You can also tap a specific part of the voicemail to listen to it again

If the content of the voice message is correct, tap the send icon in the lower right corner. If you are still not satisfied, you can delete the recording by tapping the delete icon in the form of a trash can in the lower left corner.

Voicemail preview is one of the many features that WhatsApp has launched to improve the experience of sending voice messages. Previously, WhatsApp has added a feature that allows users to adjust the playback speed of voice messages.

In addition, this application belongs to Meta is also developing a feature to pause and resume voice message recordings. It is not yet known when this feature will be available for the beta version of WhatsApp and rolled out to the public.
