This is the Smartphone Making Process at the OPPO Factory

Smartphones have become a mandatory item that is now always held in daily activities. However, few people know about the process of making a smartphone behind the scenes. OPPO revealed the process, especially related to the manufacture of smartphones at the factory.

"OPPO's factory has an area of 4,763m3 and has 2,000 employees in it. Then why did OPPO set up its own factory? OPPO entered the market in 2013, based on research that year, the product from China was considered less reliable," said an official OPPO statement.

"But OPPO breaks the stigma with a commitment, which is to make its own factory and produce itself, so that OPPO can monitor and control itself to always be able to bring the best quality for customers," he added.

Before entering the interior of the factory, OPPO has very strict SOPs to maintain product quality standards. One of the SOP is to wear anti-static robes and shoe covers so that no electricity and dirt are carried into the factory.

The factory for the production of this smartphone is divided into 3 parts, namely the manufacturing, packaging and testing room, each of which has its own parts.

In this manufacturing process, OPPO has used 90% of the machine and only used 10% of manpower to see the results of the installation and perform more accurate checks or inspections on the process of installation and placement of smartphone components.

In this manufacturing room, OPPO smartphones began to be assembled from the smallest components such as camera modules, chipsets, to the installation of large components such as batteries. In this process, several important stages are performed in the assembly of the smartphone such as the installation of the mainboard, antenna board, electrical current, binding system, placement of camera modules, sensor checking, camera calibration process to LCD screen testing.

For its own smartphone production quantity, OPPO can produce up to thousands of smartphones in a day, 1.5 million smartphones in a month and is able to reach 20 million smartphones annually.

"But not only can produce massively, OPPO also always provides the best quality both in terms of materials & components used, the manufacturing process to the end result that has a high standard," the statement wrote.

The quality of OPPO is also very well maintained and strictly monitored in OPPO's excellent Quality Control. In its factory, OPPO uses a full proof system that is a 1 fall system so that the production flow runs in one direction so that no process is missed and can be monitored in real-time. With this system, the production process cannot be done alternately or there are parts that are missed.

Once the smartphone has been assembled perfectly, then the next product will be inspected by the smartphone on the internal & external parts, either software or hardware. The overall inspection is done manually for the first 10 thousand units of smartphones so that the inspection can be done in more detail and accurately, and ensure there are no leaks or defects in the production process.

Furthermore, after 10 thousand units of smartphones have passed and no defects or malfunctions were found, then the next product inspection will be done by the machine.

The next process after the smartphone passes the hardware & software inspection, the smartphone is brought to the packaging process room. In the packaging room, there will be an IMEI data collection process that has been officially registered in the Ministry, then the ColorOS software installation process and a factory reset will be performed, so that at this stage the smartphone unit is officially software & hardware.

Not only that, in this packaging room, the accessories in the box and the wrapping process are also done. Interestingly, OPPO has a unique wrapping that has its own characteristics to ensure that this product is completely new, so that it can not be re-wrapped and all can be tracked.

After the smartphone has been processed, OPPO takes samples to re -test its durability and quality in the test center. Here the smartphone is being tested by drop test, power and volume button test, to ice cream temperature test to simulate the daily use habits of consumers when using OPPO smartphones in different situations and conditions.

As with the OPPO A95 product which is designed to be a device capable of surviving in a variety of conditions, the OPPO A95 has undergone various material and component quality tests. The quality performance tests include 10,000 plug-in and plug-out tests for the 3.5mm earphone jack, 500 thousand push-up tests for the Power on/off button, and 20,000 USB plug-in and plug-out tests that can last about 13.6 years. .

OPPO A95 is also able to pass 150,000 times the test of pressing the Volume button, so it can be used for up to 8.2 years. The other two extreme scale tests for the OPPO A95 were a 28,000 10cm high drop test and a 14 -day test under a high temperature of 65 ℃ and a humidity of 90%RH. The series of tests guarantees the reliable performance and quality of the OPPO A95 that consumers need when using it as a mobility support device.

Behind the elegant and premium design, the OPPO A95 is also made dustproof and waterproof with IPX4 certification. The device has also been tested for durability by undergoing a series of scrub tests on a variety of materials designed to simulate everyday use.

"All OPPO smartphones have gone through a very strict process and OPPO always puts user orientation first, customer satisfaction is number one in OPPO. OPPO manufacturers adhere to the principle of providing the best and commitment to the best quality for customers," he concluded.
