TikTok Brings Food Delivery To Go Viral

With social media including the TikTok platform, we can know what is currently viral, such as tourist attractions, fashion to food recipe ideas.

Well, often creators who share cooking content have their own food recipe ideas and even go viral because they are considered delicious, unique and interesting for most followers. So, they follow the recipe shared by the creator.

Interestingly, TikTok will present TikTok Kitchen, a viral food delivery service. This makes it easier for users who are lazy or can't even follow the recipes that are currently viral.

According to a preliminary report from Bloomberg, TikTok will partner with Virtual Dining Concepts and Grubhub to launch the TikTok Kitchen delivery service in the US next year.

This doesn't mean that TikTok will deliver the food from the restaurant, but that they themselves will create the current meal and give users the option of having it delivered to them.

TikTok plans to launch about 300 locations by March, and aims to open more than 1,000 restaurants by the end of 2022.

TikTok has confirmed that they will give credit to creators for dishes they create. TikTok said it would pass a cut on the profits from the venture to recipe makers, as well as food makers growing on the platform.

"Proceeds from the sale of TikTok Kitchen will be used to support creators who inspire menu items and to encourage and assist other creators to express themselves on the platform in line with TikTok's mission to inspire creativity and bring joy to its users," said TikTok.

However, TikTok ensures and emphasizes that they are not turning themselves into a restaurant or into a restaurant business, but more of a campaign.
