In addition to the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi has also released two new devices. Namely Xiaomi Watch S1 and Xiaomi TWS Earphones 3.
Watch S1 is arguably the most premium Xiaomi smartwatch to date. Made with a stainless steel frame and 1.43-inch AMOLED screen covered with sapphire glass, as well as support for third-party applications.
This smartwatch supports 117 types of sports and is water resistant up to 5ATM pressure. There's an NFC connection that supports wireless payments as well as a microphone and speaker for making phone calls.
The sensors are fairly complete, there is a heart rate sensor, oxygen levels in the blood, as well as a sleep monitor. Oh yes, there is also a GPS GNSS sensor to detect the location.
The battery is 470 mAh which Xiaomi claims can last up to 12 days. The price of the Xiaomi Watch S1 is USD 165 for the rubber strap variant and USD 175 for the leather strap variant.
Then there are TWS Earphones 3, which have an active noise canceling (ANC) feature and are claimed to be able to eliminate noise up to 40dB. This ANC feature operates using the three microphones in the TWS, including the transparency mode, which allows sound from outside to be transmitted into the earphones.
The TWS Earphones 3 battery is claimed to last 7 hours without ANC and the casing can charge the battery for up to 30 hours. Charging the battery is done using a USB-C port or a Qi wireless charger, and it has an IP55 rating that is dust and water resistant.
The price of Xiaomi TWS Earphones 3 is USD 70 for China market. There is no information regarding the price and availability of these two devices in other countries, as quoted by GSM Arena, Wednesday (29/12/2021).
