7 Laptops That Stole Attention During 2021

During 2021 there will be many laptops released, both from 'old kids' and from companies that have never released a laptop before. I don't know what the reason is that they also penetrated the laptop business, maybe because of the pandemic that made the need for laptops increase.

There are new trends for laptops released in 2021, such as the use of OLED panels on laptops that are not sultan class. So, what are the laptops that stole our attention during 2021?

MacBook Air M1

Yes, the MacBook Air M1 is not a new laptop, first released in 2020. However, it will only be officially sold in the market in 2021. Even Apple has released another laptop with a successor to the M1 chip, the MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro and Max chips. But in our opinion, the MacBook Air M1 still steals the attention because of its overall performance, as we wrote at the end of 2020.

In short, this MacBook Air M1 is a laptop whose battery can last a very long time, without fan noise, fast for daily use (even for light photo and video editing purposes), and a thin and light body.

For information, the Cinebench R23 single-core Apple M1 score on the MacBook Air almost penetrates the 1500s. Almost the same as the score from the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X which is a desktop processor, which of course consumes much more electricity and produces much higher heat.

Realme Book

The Realme Book comes in a 14-inch display with a 2K resolution and a 3:2 ratio. The panel uses IPS coated with Gorilla Glass and Oleophobic Coating. It is only 14.9 mm thick and weighs 1.48 kg.

The new MateBook 14s was released in early December, the body is thin and relatively light. It is 16.7mm thick and weighs 1.4 kg. The screen is 14 inches with 2.5k 90Hz resolution, thin bezels, but still has a webcam above the screen.

The processor is an 11th generation Intel Core i5, then the battery is promised to last for 13 hours of use, and the charging is promised fast with 90W power, which can charge the battery from empty to full in one hour.

Infinix InBook X1 Pro

This laptop comes from Infinix, a brand that previously only produced cellphones. What is interesting? Not very cheap indeed, but with the specifications and designs offered, the price is fairly skewed.

X1 Pro has a 14-inch FHD IPS screen that can be opened up to 180 degrees. The processor is Intel Core 10th generation, with complete ports, 2 x USB-C (support data, charging and DisplayPort), 2 x USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI, SD card, 3.5 mm audio jack and camera switch.

Asus VivoBook Pro 14X

From the name it can be seen what is interesting about this laptop. Yes, the screen is an OLED type. This laptop is one of the laptops with an OLED screen released on the market. Not just OLED, the screen also has a high resolution, which is 2,880 x 1,800 pixels with a ratio of 16:10.

powered by 11th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 CPUs, it also has a Thunderbolt 4 port. This laptop is 17.9mm thick and weighs 1.45kg.

Acer Swift X

Acer Swift X is championed as a productivity laptop. This metal-clad laptop uses the AMD Ryzen 5000 Series brain with an RTX 3050 Ti GPU and is believed to be able to produce high performance for creating creative content.

The body thickness is 17.9mm with a weight of 1.5 kg, which is fairly light for a laptop with its specifications. This laptop port is also complete, USB-A gen 3.2 and USB-C gen 3.2 which supports DisplayPort and charging, and there is an HDMI port as well.

Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Fold

In terms of design, maybe this laptop will steal the most attention during 2021, even though globally its release is in 2020. Lenovo brought the ThinkPad X1 Fold to the market in March 2021, at a premium price.

This laptop comes with a 13.3-inch Flexible QXGA OLED screen. Once the ThinkPad X1 Fold screens are folded, each has a size of 9.6 inches. The processor used is an 11th gen Intel Core, and the sales package includes a Bluetooth keyboard and a Lenovo Mod Pen.
