Airline boss warns 5G could damage planes

5G networks will become mainstream as time goes on. However, the implementation of 5G, apart from the positive impact, also raises some concerns regarding the network technology.

This concern initially arose from certain circles who had shared conspiracy theories about how 5G could cause disease. Many experts later confirmed that the claim was not true.

However, it turns out that 5G can indeed have a negative impact on certain things, such as on airplanes, as quoted by Ubergizmo.

According to a report from Reuters, a number of CEOs of passenger and cargo airlines in the United States such as American Airlines, Southwest Airline, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, and others.

They have warned that 5G services running on C-Band frequencies, which US mobile carriers plan to deploy, could subject some wide-body aircraft to interference.

C-Band itself is a radio frequency band with a magnitude of 3.7 to 4.2 GHz. This is said to be interfering with certain instruments on aircraft, leaving 5G networks potentially impacting thousands of Americans overseas and causing chaos for US flights.

However, this does not mean that airlines do not trust 5G networks, but rather that they request that 5G towers be placed further from airports to prevent interference.

"Some of the modern safety systems on board the aircraft would be rendered unusable causing far greater problems than we were aware of. Aircraft manufacturers have advised us that there are many fleets in operation that may need to be grounded indefinitely," reads the warning letter. the.
