BlackBerry and the Dead Line of Popular Gadgets

Older versions of BlackBerry that are still using the BlackBerry operating system will be turned off shortly. Apparently many popular gadgets are just memories.

BlackBerry: Older BlackBerry phones that still use the BlackBerry OS or operating system were discontinued on January 4, 2022 and lost key features. Practically old BlackBerry phones can be said to have been turned off, except for those using the Android OS.

LG phones: LG decided to exit the smartphone business last year. Although the products are good, the fierce competition in both price and quality makes them unable to survive.

Windows Phone: Windows Phone was predicted to be a competitor to the iPhone and a line of Android phones. But because of the lack of applications and other factors, Windows Phone was so deceased.

HTC Phones: HTC used to be a manufacturer of premium and popular Android phones, even the first Android phones were made by HTC. Unfortunately at this time, they are practically powerless in the smartphone business because they are unable to compete.

Netbooks: Netbooks used to be popular as small, compact and affordable laptops. Many computer manufacturers are busy producing it. But over time, its popularity sank until it just disappeared.

PlayStation Vita: The successor to the PlayStation Portable was never as popular as Sony wanted it to be, perhaps because people prefer to play games with smartphones. Until the PlayStation Vita was turned off in 2018.

Gionee: Perhaps the only mobile phone vendor Gionee died not because of a lack of innovation, but because the founder, Liu Lirong, lost more than USD 144 million in gambling. Gionee went bankrupt.

Galaxy Note: For the first time, the latest Galaxy Note didn't appear last year. Samsung may now focus more on its foldable smartphone as well as the Galaxy S line. But maybe the Galaxy Note will bounce back.
