Honor Magic V Challenges Galaxy Z Fold 3, Greater Specs at a Cheaper Price


 Another competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is here. He is the Honor Magic V, this folding screen phone offers more powerful specifications but the price is slightly cheaper.

Honor Magic V carries the same mechanism as the Z Fold 3. On the outside there is an AMOLED screen measuring 6.45 inches Full HD + with a refresh rate of 120Hz.


When opened, the inside screen will stretch to a size of 7.9 inches Full HD + and have 1.07 billion colors. The panel used is OLED but still carries a 90Hz refresh rate, different from the Z Fold 3 which has implemented 120Hz.



But the champion is the kitchen spur. Honor Magic V is supported by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 combined with 12 GB of RAM.


Honor has three cameras on the back. The composition consists of a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera and a 50 MP ultra-spectrum camera which was first introduced in the Huawei P50 Pocket.


While the inner and outer selfie cameras are installed in the punch hole. Each size is 42 MP.


Talking about the hinge, Honor uses a water drop model which consists of 213 parts and is claimed to have been tested for durability by opening the lid 200 thousand times.


The battery embedded in it has a capacity of 4,750 mAh which is equipped with 66W fast charging. There is a fingerprint sensor on the side and an infrared sensor.


For connections, it supports 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi ax, Bluetooth 5.2 LE and NFC. There are natural variants of black and orange coated with glass and using synthetic leather.


The Honor Magic V retails for 9,999 yuan for the 12/256 GB version, while the highest variant is 10,999 yuan for the 12/512 GB variant. This folding screen phone will be available in China on January 18th.
