The Luxury of the WhatsApp Founder's Cruise Ship for USD 10 billion

 


The co-founder of WhatsApp, Jan Koum, is worth USD 10 billion. Naturally, if his belongings are luxurious, including this yacht.


The Moonrise was completed on Jan Koum's order in 2020. This ship was built by a Dutch shipping company, Feadship.


Moonrise is 99.95 meters long. The luxurious rooms can accommodate up to 16 guests.



The structure of this ship is made of aluminum while the hull is made of steel.



Moonrise is powered by a 2 MTU engine, producing a top speed of up to 19.5 knots.




Moonrise is the world's 67th largest ship and the third largest made by Feadship.



This ship has a helipad for landing helicopters.



The interior is very luxurious. This ship costs USD 220 million with annual maintenance worth USD 15 to 20 million.



The interior of the Moonrise was designed by renowned French designer, Remi Tessier.



Apart from guests, this ship can accommodate up to 32 crew including the captain.




Jan Koum seems to have taken him all over the place.



Recently, he was caught taking this ship to the island of St Barts for a vacation. He was reportedly there with his girlfriend, model Evelina Mambetova.




Moonrise has a smaller support ship called Power Play, where it can transport helicopters.
