Instagram Trial Subscription Fee USD 0.99 Per Month

Instagram is testing a new feature, namely paid subscriptions that content creators or influencers can activate on its platform. Avid fans can join the subscription.

Well, those who subscribe can watch Stories or exclusive videos from the celebgrams they follow. Currently, the new trial is running for a small number of creators in the United States.

Those who subscribe will get a kind of purple badge that distinguishes them from other followers. So how much is the subscription fee?

As quoted by us from the Independent, there are 8 choices of subscription prices from Instagram. The cheapest is USD 0.99 per month and the most expensive is USD 99.99 per month .

Subscribers will certainly get more facilities than regular followers because the pay is quite large, for example access to exclusive content. To prevent such content from being screenshotted, Instagram was initially rumored to be disabling the feature, but this hasn't been done in this trial.

Instagram also doesn't charge a creator's revenue in this trial. "We're all the same as Meta, we won't withdraw our revenue share until at least 2023," said Ashley Yuki, Instagram's Co Head of Product.

"Our main goal here is that we help creators make a living. We try to think of all the ways we can to build monetization should the opportunity arise," he said.

Other platforms such as TikTok and Twitter are also increasingly aggressive in providing ways for content creators to earn more. So it looks like Instagram doesn't want to miss the train.
