NetEase Creates a New Mobile Game, Allegedly Similar to Valorant

NetEase, one of the leading developers based in China, is rumored to be launching a new game titled Hyper Front. Even so, in terms of mechanics and appearance, it is suspected that this game is in line with Riot Games' title, Valorant.

Quoted from their official website, Sunday (23/1/2022), Hyper Front is currently only available for the Southeast Asia region. Game developers have also opened pre-registration on the Google Play Store.

Various prizes await the players of this game. NetEase provides milestones for every gamer who registers early. If it reaches 500 thousand people, then the player is entitled to 1x Rename Card, 2x Flower of Friendship and 200 Star Coins.

Meanwhile, if you reach the target of 1.5 million players, users will get 1x Titanium-M92 Trial Card (3 days), 1x Standard Match Card and 300 Star Coins. When reaching 3 million pre-registrations, there are Titanium-UMP Trial Card weapons (3 days) 1x, Standard Match Cards (3 days) 1x and 500 Star Coins.

Actually not only that, because there are still various other rewards if you reach the target of 5 million and 10 million players. However, the prize itself is still a secret.

All items presented by the developer can be owned when Hyper Front is released globally. The item will be sent to the in-game mailbox. Currently, a total of 562,849 gamers have pre-registered

If you peek at the video trailer, everything looks similar to Valorant. From the visuals, the game mechanics, to the characters and their abilities, it looks impressive.

Until this news was made, Riot Games itself had not made a statement. But considering what they've done to Moonton's parent company, Tencent, where they sued Mobile Legends for being a clone of League of Legends, will the video game giant return to doing the same thing?
