Netflix Subscription Prices Go Up in Its Cage

As Netflix's movie catalog gets bigger and it continues to invest more and more to produce its own TV shows and movies, this naturally makes Netflix's spending even more massive. What's more, the competition with other streaming platforms is also getting tougher.

Not only that, Netflix even needs to invest more into its server capacity to accommodate more users signing up for its service. Especially as more users start streaming at high quality resolutions.

So it can be predicted that the cost of Netflix subscriptions will definitely go up. So it's no surprise that Netflix has recently announced an increase in the price of its packages, as reported by us from Ubergizmo.

Now the basic plan will be priced at USD 9.99 per month up USD 1 from the previous cost. This increase also applies to other packages. For now, the new price increase is in effect at the home of Netflix, United States.

The standard plan goes up USD 1.50 to USD 15.49 per month and the premium plan which offers the ability to watch streaming in 4K quality and up to four screens at once, will now cost you USD 19.99 per month which is an increase of USD 2 from the previous cost .

Netflix said that the new prices will apply to new subscribers, but will also apply to all existing subscribers in the future.

"Those who have already subscribed will get an email 30 days before this change takes effect that will give them the opportunity to change their subscription or cancel their plan completely." Netflix says
