Samsung Galaxy S22 on the market Use Snapdragon 8 Gen 1?

Every year, Samsung always presents the Galaxy S series with the Exynos chipset on the market. But for the Galaxy S22 that launched this year it looks like something will be different.

A tipster named Dohyun Kim has just shared the distribution of the type of chipset that the Galaxy S22 will use in each region. Just like in previous years, North America and East Asia will get versions with Snapdragon chipsets.

Interestingly, based on Dohyun Kim's leak, the Southeast Asia region will also get a Galaxy S22 with a Snapdragon chipset. This means that it is possible that countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and others will be able to taste the Galaxy S22 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, as quoted from SamMobile, Sunday (23/1/2022).

Other regions that will get the Galaxy S22 with Snapdragon chipset include South America and Oceania, while Europe will get the version with the Exynos 2200. West Asia, Middle East, and Africa will get the Exynos and Snapdragon versions, which may differ in each country. .

From this still unconfirmed list it is revealed that Samsung is now using Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in more countries. Reportedly, Exynos 2200 production issues forced Samsung to launch the Galaxy S22 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in more countries.

Samsung itself just announced its latest flagship chipset, the Exynos 2200, a few days ago. The Exynos 2200 is the first SoC to use a graphics chip from AMD.

On the CPU side, the Exynos 2200 uses ARMV9 cores in a "flagship core" Cortex-X2, three Cortex-A710, and four Cortex-A510 efficient cores. Then the new NPU used is promised to have twice the performance of its predecessor, and the ISP (image processor) used supports camera sensors up to 200MP, one of which is the Isocell HP1 sensor that Samsung released last year.

Samsung itself has confirmed the existence of the Galaxy S22 which will be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event next month. The exact date is unknown, but rumors are circulating that the Galaxy S22 trio will be introduced on February 8, 2022.
