In addition to presenting the Realme GT 2 series in Europe, Realme also introduced 150W fast charging technology. This new technology is claimed to be able to recharge the battery up to 50% in five minutes.
Realme has previously demonstrated its 125W fast charging technology, but never released it commercially. This time, the 150W fast charging technology that was just showcased will be present as a superior feature in the Realme GT Neo 3.
"GT Neo 3 will be the first mobile phone powered by UltraDart Charging Architecture 150W. GT Neo 3 will be the fastest charging phone in the world," said Senior Product Manager Realme Sreehati, at the Realme press conference at MWC 2022, Monday (28/2/ 2022).
Realme also introduced its newest technology called UltraDart Charging Architecture (UDCA). This new technology enables mobile phone charging between 100W and 200W without sacrificing battery life.
The main feature of this architecture is faster charging, safer, while maintaining battery life going forward. UDCA will offer faster charging thanks to Multi Boost Charge which can increase the charging current.
UDCA is also equipped with Ultra Heat Management which can keep the battery temperature below 43 degrees Celsius during the recharging process. With this technology, users can still play games or watch videos while recharging their cell phones without worrying.
One of the concerns many people have about charging technologies up to hundreds of watts is the impact on battery health. Realme tries to solve this problem by providing the Ultra Battery Protection feature at UDCA.
Combined with the leading lithium battery, Realme claims this technology can maintain battery health at the level of 80% even after going through a recharge cycle of up to 1,000 times.
Realme will mass-produce this fast charging technology in the near future. Soon, Realme GT Neo 3 will come with 150W fast charging technology with UDCA architecture.
