Apple is starting to change the rules for wearing masks for its employees. According to a report from Bloomberg, company employees who have been vaccinated no longer need to wear masks in the office.
Meanwhile, for retail workers in some Apple Store locations, the use of masks will be optional. Recently, Apple has also announced the rules for masks for consumers who visit the Apple Store where they may not wear them.
This rule comes after the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) no longer requires the use of masks indoors.
Launching from The Verge, Friday (4/3/2022) Apple itself has not confirmed when they will fully reopen to the office. Apple had previously planned to open an office on February 1, 2022, but postponed it indefinitely.
In an internal memo to his company's employees, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that a date for his return to work had yet to be set.
Meanwhile, Google employees in the Bay Area will return to work in the office starting next April in a hybrid model. Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal has also announced that the office will be fully reopening starting on March 15.
Facebook's parent company, Instagram et al. Meta will also start opening offices on March 28. Meanwhile, Microsoft has opened its head office on Monday (28/2).
