Marvel Edition Soundcore Life P3 Review, Fun for Listening to Music and Podcasts

Anker brought the Soundcore Life P3 to the market. Cooperating with Marvel makes this True Wireless Stereo (TWS) device appear special.

But is this TWS worth considering? We've been trying it for a few weeks.

Soundcore Life P3 Marvel Edition is not only eye-catching, this TWS is fun when it hangs on the ear. Here's a short review

Design

Soundcore Life P3 Marvel Edition comes in three options, namely Captain America, Thor and Iron Man. The last variant is the one we reviewed.

The box is colored red like the typical color of Iron Man. On the front of the packaging box is a picture of the superhero.

The Soundcore Life P3 Marvel Edition case is wrapped in red with a matte surface so it's comfortable in your hand. At the top there is the Soundcare logo, while at the bottom there is the Marvel logo.

Anker designed the case to be oval in shape with dimensions that are still fairly compact so that it fits in the hand. It's just that when the Soundcore Life P3 Marvel Edition is stored in a jeans pocket, it stands out a bit.

Unlike some TWS that we tried before, the body is deliberately made flat for convenience when putting it in a pocket.

The front of the case has three LED lights as a battery indicator. While on the back there is a USB Type C port.

Turning to the inside, there is an arc reactor patterned button for paring. There is a pair of earbuds wrapped in red with a picture of Iron Man's head on the stem.

Soundcore Life P3 Marvel Edition has in-ear earbuds. When installed feels right in the ear and does not feel sore.

The earbuds are easy to attach to the charging socket and easy to remove. This device is quite water and sweat resistant which is guaranteed by IPX5 certification.

Activating the Soundcore Life P3 Marvel Edition only opens the top cover of the case. While the control is carried out on the outer surface of the earbud stem.

One tap to change the volume, double tap to skip a track, and hold for a few seconds to activate the voice assistant or turn on noise cancellation.

When connected to an iPhone or Android, it's not much different, this TWS is quite responsive when the finger controls. We are allowed to customize the beat as desired using the Soundcore application.

The application can be downloaded for free on the App Store and PlayStore. Through this application we can set Noise Cancellation, gaming mode and test the installation of eartips to fit in the ear.

Interestingly there is an Equalize option which provides 22 music presets. If it is not suitable, we can adjust it according to taste.

Anti Noise

One of the mainstay features offered by the Soundcore Life P3 Marvel Edition is active noise cancellation (ANC). When we tried it it wasn't the best, but it did pretty well in most situations.

Anker provides four different ANC modes, namely Transport, Indoor and Outdoor. When walking in the Dukuh Atas area, Jakarta, the sound of wind noise can be muffled by the Outdoor mode.

When activating Transport mode, the sound of the train can still be heard even though it is very low. While we used indoor mode, the sound of the mechanical keyboard that often filled the room was not translucent when the song was playing.

Soundcore Life P3 Marvel Edition has a Transparancy mode that can be activated when you want to hear the sound around you. There are two options provided, namely focus on vocals or hear all the sounds around you.

Audio Quality

The Soundcore Life P3 earbuds pack an 11-millimeter audio driver for a satisfying audio experience. The sound that comes out sounds clear with a fairly strong bass depth without compromising on detail.

Listen to various genres of music to cool podcasts using this TWS. Likewise when watching streaming video.

It's just that when we use it to play games there is a delay that we feel, even though we have activated Game Mode.

The Soundcore Life P3 handles phone and video calls very well. This is thanks to the placement of three microphones in each earbud.

Battery

Anker promises six hours of battery life when ANC is turned on, as well as an additional 24 hours from the case. The duration increases when the ANC feature is disabled.

In testing it turned out to be as promised, the Soundcore Life P3 lasted 6 hours with ANC turned on. While when disabled it can touch 7.5 hours. We can charge it up to five times with the case.

For charging the battery, a USB Type C port is provided. It takes almost 3 hours to fully charge the battery

Our Opinion

The Soundcore Life P3 Marvel Edition delivers a compact design that makes it easy to carry around. The outer surface finish is very good so it is comfortable to grip.

The sound quality is impressive and the battery life is long. So this TWS can be a friend while on a trip to the office or out of town. Even cool to use when exercising without worrying about getting sweat.

Anker also provides applications that can maximize the use of Soundcore Life P3.

If you have a budget, you can consider this TWS.
