Rows of Flying Objects in the Sky of Bali Turns Elon Musk's Satellite

Viral series of glowing objects in the Balinese sky during Night. The object is not just one and goes hand in hand like a train with a glow of light. The incident was caught by netizens with the username @rudhykurniawan_.

When confirmed, researchers confirmed that the object was a series of Starlink satellites, a company made by the world's richest man, Elon Musk. To us, Prof. Dr. Thomas Djamaluddin, MSc, a researcher and astronomer who had served as the Head of the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) gave an explanation.

"Yes, it's the Starlink satellite series," said Djamal.

"It is clear that in the sky conditions there is no city light pollution," he continued.

Light pollution is common in urban areas where artificial light sources exist. Light pollution usually occurs due to excessive, inefficient and/or misdirected lighting systems.

Djamal said, during Nyepi in Bali, when it was dark, the objects in the sky could be seen more clearly. It also includes satellites that pass after sunset or before sunrise.

Furthermore, he said that Starlink, the company owned by tech billionaire Elon Musk, was launched from the United States. Meanwhile, Indonesia's partnership plan with SpaceX itself is aimed at other things.
