This tech boss finances volunteers who want to go to war in Ukraine

Quite a number of people from other countries wanted to go to Ukraine and volunteered to fight the Russian invasion. For that, the boss of this technology company is ready to provide support in the form of money.

Initially, Anthony Capone as president of DocGo, a technology company engaged in mobile health services, wrote at length on LinkedIn about his experience of visiting Eastern Europe and his strong opposition to war.

Then, he promised to give all the travel costs and equipment from his personal pocket, to all the volunteers who wanted to defend Ukraine, if the volunteers did not have the funds.

As quoted by us from The Verge, Capone emphasized that the initiative was purely from him and had nothing to do with the company he led.

Indeed the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has opened the door for foreigners who want to join the Ukrainian soldiers against the Russian army. He called them the international legion.

Capone said that his offer was well received by many people. So far, he has received 400 applications from those who want to help defend Ukraine.

One of those who are ready to go is Alexander Szokoly, a veteran of the United States military. He already wanted to go and make an itinerary for Ukraine, then find a friend who had the same intention. From there, he heard that there was a donation from Capone.

"I am a former medical officer in the military and am ready to leave this week. Please contact me. We are training to use anti-tank weapons specifically against the Russians," he wrote on LinkedIn.

After 5 days, Capone actually provided the necessary funds. "Capone paid for airfare as well as medical supplies and protective clothing," he said.

The United States government itself actually prohibits its citizens from intervening in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. However, it is suspected that there are quite a number of residents there who want to help Ukraine.
