5 Interesting New Features on WhatsApp to Test, What Have You Been Waiting For?

WhatsApp will release several new features in the near future, you know. According to the Head of WhatsApp, Will Cathcart, as quoted from The Verge page, this new feature is classified as premium and is intended for business purposes that have been running so far.

So just getting curious, especially if you have used it for your business needs so far.

Well, what are these updates?

1. Voice calls with multiple users

WhatsApp will present a voice call feature that can connect with many other users, up to 32 people, which previously could only be done by a maximum of 8 people.

There is also a new design presented to this feature to improve the user experience and convenience.

2. Deletion of messages by group admin

Furthermore, there is also a new feature that provides control over the chats that occur in WhatsApp groups. These controls include giving group admins access to delete messages from anyone in the group.

Group admins can later delete messages that are deemed inappropriate or inappropriate to the context of the group chat. This is to avoid inappropriate messages sent by members.

3. Enlarged file sharing

Furthermore, WhatsApp also increases the capacity of sharing files with other users. Usually users can only get 100MB, now it's enlarged to 2GB.

Users who want to send files in the form of documents, photos, videos do not have to worry about the files being too large because the minimum submission limit has been updated.

Now there's no need to bother sending large media via paid apps or cloud storage.

4. Reaction

Just like other social media platforms owned by Meta, WhatsApp also doesn't want to miss presenting a reaction feature to comment on messages sent.

Reaction is claimed by WhatsApp to be one of the most requested features by users. Emoji reactions on WhatsApp allow users to express their thoughts and feelings quickly without flooding the chat field with new messages.

This feature is complemented by the five emojis, namely heart, thumb, laughing, mouth open, crying and folded hands.

5. Community

WhatsApp instant messaging will bring a Community feature that can combine several groups of conversations based on a common theme.

The reason behind this feature is the discovery that many schools, groups, and non-profit organizations rely on WhatsApp to communicate and handle various affairs.

Through the Community feature, users can join groups they deem relevant to connect with the people they need to contact.

The Community also gives admins access to send announcements to everyone in each group, and add or remove groups in the Community
