Having things that are viral or trending, doesn't only exist in Indonesia, you know. South Korea also turns out to have viral and trending things that are now being discussed by many people.

Sponge Dishwasher Rice Cake


A trending gift to celebrate 'April Fools' rice cakes in the shape of a dishwasher sponge. Sook Sulgi, is a rice cake shaped like a sponge which is usually used to wash dishes.


This is to trick and make people fooled by its shape. Plus honey made like dish soap, this rice cake is now being loved in South Korea.


AI Obsession


South Korea is now increasingly obsessed with Artificial Intelligence or AI. As a country that is known for its advanced technology, it turns out that South Korea has gone further with AI.


Not only about the technology industry directly, but the entertainment world with AI is also getting closer. For example, the concept of AI used by a girl group from SM Entertainment, AESPA, a group from the game world consisting of Soyeon and Miyeon (G)-IDLE named K/DA along with other foreign singers, and a social media influencer who is an AI named Rozy.


Kosk


Kosk is a protective product for the nasal breathing area. An abbreviation of Ko which means nose in Korean, as well as Mask for a mask, Kosk protects the nose area without covering the mouth area.


The mouth area is deliberately opened to make it easier for users to eat or drink. Usually used when in a restaurant or in a cafe.



Pokemon Bread


Pokemon buns are in high demand in South Korea. Not because of the bread, but because of the Pokemon sticker inside. This trend makes many people return to collecting stickers and scrambling to buy them in stores.


Some stores even posted an announcement that Pokemon Bread had sold out so many people were looking for it. Jin from BTS also collects the stickers, you know.


The BTS member shared the first sticker he got from Pokemon Bread through his official Instagram account, @jin. Another BTS member, RM and also an EXO member, Kai, also turned out to like this sticker from Pokemon Bread.


This bun with collectible stickers was also featured in the drama Twenty Five Twenty One, where Na Hee Do, the main character played by actress Kim Tae Ri, bought a lot of Castella cakes to get cute stickers inside.
