Apart from sacredness, marriage is often identified with luxury. Departing from the "special day", some people make weddings with the maximum budget in order to leave an impression on the memory of themselves and their guests.
However, it seems that this does not apply to the following wedding couple from Los Angeles, United States. Spending around USD 500, the couple held a wedding on a minimal budget.
It was Kiara and Joel Brokenbrough, a couple who married for a very minimal total cost for the average American. The reason is, data from The Knot shows that in 2021, the average cost to hold a wedding is around $30,000.
"Our goal is to get married as simply as possible and keep costs to a minimum," Kiara told Good Morning America, quoted from Wolipop.
Although the budget is minimal, Kiara and Joel's marriage continues to be solemn and sacred. They very much avoid getting into debt in their marriage just for the luxuries.
USD47 dress !
Kiara and Joel's saving efforts started with the dress Kiara wore. She got the dress for $47 which she bought at an online store.
Although the price of the dress worn by Kiara is relatively cheap compared to most dresses, the mermaid-cut dress with a low neckline and long tail leaves a luxurious impression, which may be estimated at millions.
"I don't want to spend a lot of money on a dress because I'm only going to wear it once for a few hours," she said.
