iPhone 14 is predicted to launch in September following Apple's annual schedule. After this latest iPhone launches, Apple will stop producing one of its older phones, the iPhone 11.
This news comes from iDropNews citing an unnamed source. If these rumors are true, then the iPhone 11 will follow the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max which were discontinued in 2020 after the launch of the iPhone 12.
Apple will turn off the iPhone 11 not only because of the age factor, but also because it is feared that it will annex the sales of the recently launched iPhone SE 2022.
Reportedly, sales of the iPhone 11 even jumped after the iPhone SE 2022 was launched. Because the price difference between the two is not too big, Apple consumers may prefer the iPhone 11 because of its more modern design, even though the specifications of the iPhone SE 2022 are newer.
Currently the price of the iPhone 11 at Apple's official store starts from USD 499 for the 64GB variant. While the price of the iPhone SE 2022 starts from USD 429 for the same variant.
Quoted from Phone Arena, Wednesday (20/4/2022) the same source said the iPhone 12 will still be sold after the iPhone 14 launches, but it is not known whether the iPhone 12 mini will also survive.
Currently the iPhone 12 is priced at USD 699, and will probably be lowered to USD 599 once the iPhone 14 launches. This rumor also says the iPhone 13 will still be sold because it is still selling well.
