Ordered to leave, Apple employees rebelled and threatened to resign

Compared to other tech giants, Apple has a pretty strict policy about returning to work in the office after the Corona pandemic has subsided recently. This apparently made some Apple employees unhappy, some even threatened to resign.

Tech companies such as Meta, Amazon, and Alphabet provide more flexible policies, where some employees can always WFH or Work From Home. Even Twitter allows many of its employees to WFH.

But not so with Apple. Apple CEO Tim Cook has asked all employees to return to work starting April 11, at least once a week.

Then gradually on May 2, Apple employees were asked to sign in 2 days a week. Continuing again on May 23, the schedule will be 3 days a week.

"I don't have the slightest desire to return to work here," an Apple employee wrote on a forum. He stated that he intends to resign if he has to return to work from the office.

"I would go to the office to say hello to everyone and then send my resignation letter when I got home. I knew I could no longer commute and sit for 8 hours," he added, quoted by the New York Post.

"I would do the same," wrote another Apple employee. "Hell yeah, let's do it. To hell with going back to the office," another employee responded.

Some of these employees claimed to be jealous of the policies of other technology offices. Some claim to have applied to other companies that offer full-time work from home. However, of course, there are also many employees who like WFO or who are resigned to following company regulations.
