Products 'Mother and Child' and 'Children's Fashion' became the best-selling item categories in online stores throughout the first quarter of 2022. The high transaction in both categories was driven by a number of initiatives carried out by online stores.
Compared to the previous quarter, products such as disposable diapers, children's milk, telon oil, shampoo and baby soap, as well as cotton and baby wipes became some of the best-selling products in the Mother and Child sub-category in online stores in the first quarter of 2022.
Ramadhan describes the products that children need, such as plain t-shirts, sling bags, school bags, hair ties and socks to be some of the products with the highest sales in the Children's Fashion sub category. He said that this was driven by a series of initiatives from online stores to meet the needs of parents for products related to children, as well as support local business activists who sell related products.
The initiatives referred to by Ramadhan include the Parents online store, a special ecosystem for online stores to make it easier for the public, especially the parent community, to obtain needed products and relevant information related to children, families and households. Parents online store also presents a Kids Fashion Festival campaign by cooperating with local MSMEs that sell various children's fashion products.
On the other hand, continued Ramadhan, online shops also continue to intensify Hyperlocal initiatives to bring local MSMEs selling children's products in various regions closer to local buyers so that they have the same opportunity to grow.
Driven by this Hyperlocal initiative, we see the highest increase in the number of sellers of children's products during 2021 compared to 2020.
