EA or Electronics Arts is one of the big names in the video game arena, including with brands such as FIFA, Apex Legends, Battlefield and so on under them.
Most recently, it was reported EA was looking into the potential for an acquisition or merger with the gaming company.
EA is said to have met with several companies, including Disney, Apple and even Amazon.
Apple itself is ready to focus on the video game arena through Apple Arcade, while Disney is expanding their content offerings - and has a number of collaborations for game publishing for their IPs. Both companies are seen as likely to be able to expand their portfolios and have large studios under them should this takeover take place.
In addition, EA is also seen looking at the potential to merge with NBCUniversal, which is one of the mass media companies in the United States.
The new report comes as an extension of several mergers in the video game arena-including Microsoft taking over Activision, as well as Take-Two taking over Zynga.
