Apple Wants To Increase China's External Production - Focus On India And Vietnam

Apple is now reported to have asked some of their manufacturers to increase production outside China. One of the reasons is due to the relatively strict movement control order in China in curbing the spread of Covid-19.

For now, among the countries potentially to see this production transfer are to India as well as Vietnam. Apple also previously released their latest Mac Studio in Malaysia.

Today, over 90% of Apple products are manufactured in China. Apple had previously targeted to move some production in stages to other locations - including the United States.

Regardless, today, China still has an advantage in terms of production ecosystem as well as low cost for that purpose.

In addition, China itself has a high consumer figure. Nearly one -fifth of Apple products are marketed there.
