Apple already has a number of cooperative companies for the production of components used on their products, including for panels.
Most recently, it was rumored the BOE may have lost orders from Apple for the production of the iPhone 14 panel.
It is said that the BOE has been found to have changed the width of the short circuit on the OLED panel of the iPhone 13, without obtaining confirmation from Apple. This step is done in enabling them to increase production.
Due to this the BOE is now seen at risk of possibly losing panel bookings for the iPhone 14 this year. With this move as well, Apple may bargain their contracts to LG and Samsung for additional production.
