The ECG feature on a smart watch is absolutely necessary to detect a heart attack before it occurs. It is the reason why the Apple Watch has become among the best -selling smart watches on the market. In Malaysia ECG feature support is very limited. Huawei Malaysia today confirmed to us that the ECG feature will be supported on devices that will be marketed in Malaysia.
The feature is expected to get approval from the MOH before the end of 2022. Currently the Huawei Watch GT3 Pro and the Huawei Watch D are two smart watches with an ECG feature. The Watch GT3 Pro will be officially launched in Malaysia on May 19 and there are plans to also market the Watch D in the near future. So for those who need the ECG feature, the Huawei smartwatch will support it in Malaysia in the future.
