How to use Google Maps offline

Open Google Maps, click your profile photo or initial account button in the search column on the far right, next to the microphone

From the menu that appears, select offline maps, then select the location you want to download. The wider the area selected, the more data will be downloaded

Google Maps will download the map according to the selected area. To save data, you can download it using WiFi.

You can get directions offline, but not with public transit, cycling, or walking directions. You will not get traffic information, alternative routes, or lane guidance.


Then if the homecoming is finished and the offline Google Maps data is too large, you can delete it immediately. Here's how:


Open Google Maps, click your profile picture or initial account button in the search bar on the far right, next to the microphone.

Select the offline maps menu (offline maps)

Tap the map you want to delete.
