MediaTek now comes with a new offering through the introduction of the MediaTek Dimensity 1050. It is a processing chip that offers connectivity for mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G.
This means, telcos can choose to support one with speeds up to 53% faster than chips with LTE and mmWave support. It also supports 2 × 2 MIMO and WiFi 6E antennas for stable and fast multiple WiFi connections.
Next up, it’s a 6nm tech chip that uses an eight -core build and has two ARM Cortex A78 CPUs at 2.5GHz. For now, MediaTek does not specifically state the combination of all CPUs, but it is said to be likely to use 6 X Cortex-A55 CPUs. The GPU used is ARM Mali-G610 in addition to supporting MediaTek's HyperEngine 5.0 suite as an additional feature for better gaming performance.
Later, it also supports screens up to FHD+ with refresh rates reaching 144Hz. In addition, some other additional features such as AV1 video decoding, HDR10+ capabilities and Dolby Vision. MediaTek informed which devices powered by this processing chip are expected to arrive in Q3 2022.
