NASA Wants to Send 2 Astronauts to Mars

NASA is planning a mission for two astronauts to be sent to Mars. The plan will then be tested on the Moon, as revealed by NASA Deputy Administrator Pam Melroy.

There are 50 goals to be achieved from the mission. NASA has also prepared an outline of how they will achieve all these goals. The plan is that the mission will last for 30 days on the surface of Planet Mars.

Later, there will be a cargo of 25 tons sent in advance to ensure the astronauts have supplies when they land. Equally important, it is a pre-landing vehicle so that NASA believes astronauts can return to Earth safely.

"We want to get the rhythm (right - red) to do our mission every year," said association administrator Jim Free.

"So we can maximize science, maximize the utilization of our system," he continued.

The 30 -day mission may seem short. However, this is not immediately without calculation. Due to the nature of the orbits of Terran and Mars, if astronauts stay longer, the return journey will be longer and more difficult. Except, astronauts stay for more than 500 days until the planets are aligned again.

Although advances in technology have been enormous to remove obstacles to space missions, there are still many difficulties in sending astronauts farther than humans have ever experienced. There is also a fear of bringing the astronauts back safely with 100%guarantee. As reported by IFL Science, Sunday (22/5/2022).
