Sonos, a leading premium audio brand has just announced that they will start opening pre-orders for their latest theater speakers, the Sonos Ray for the local market soon.
Saying that since the pandemic issue started, people, even in Malaysia are seen to have spent money to upgrade audio quality not only for viewing purposes that are more cinematic, but also for various other purposes such as improving home atmosphere.
The advantages of the Sonos Ray can be seen and heard from several angles. These speakers come with a compact design, especially when it is compared to their other theater speakers like the Sonos Arc. This allows the Sonos Ray to fit in a not -so -large opening.
Like most other Sonos speakers, the Sonos Ray can be connected to the internet via WiFi, and it comes with support for various audio streaming services such as Amazon Music HD, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and more.
It can be connected to your television using an optical cable, which means it can decode audio codecs like Stereo PCM, Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround, but doesn’t come with support for Dolby Atmos like Sonos Arc and Beam.
If you have an iOS device, you can also use the Sonos app to customize these speakers to your room environment using the Sonos Trueplay feature. It uses the device’s built-in distance adjustment function to ensure you can listen to the best audio quality when watching your favorite movies.
In terms of components present, alone it is a 3.0 speaker with three built -in audio satellites, but just like other ecosystem devices, it can be connected to other Sonos devices such as the Sonos One, Sonos Five and even Sonos Sub to build a theater setup house with surround sound feature.
Sonos Malaysia says that pre-orders for these Sonos Ray speakers will be open starting May 14 at a price of RM1799 through the Try Sonos website. It will go on sale officially in the local market through Harvey Norman and Lazada on June 24.
