The aerospace company, Virgin Galactic, continues to prepare itself to open a travel service to space travel. Who wants space travel? Check the fare again.

Virgin Galactic is preparing to open a travel service to space travel. In its latest announcement, Virgin Galactic said that the company continues to address any issues related to the supply chain and workforce.

"We hope to return to space in the fourth quarter and launch commercial services in the first quarter of next year," they said.

For those who are interested in space tourism offered by Virgin Galactic, then you must have money of USD 450 thousand for a single trip.

Even though the price is exorbitant, the company claims that now many people are lining up to enjoy the space tour. As many as 800 people have ordered to feel the sensation of an instant into space.

Virgin Galactic's first fully manned space flight took place in July 2021, when founder Richard Branson gave it a go. The company has re-opened ticket sales to customers briefly twice since then, raising prices from the flight tier by USD 250 thousand.

To take them to space, passengers will board the VSS Unity which will take off under the wings of a transport plane called VMS Eve. When the pair reaches an altitude of about 50,000 feet (15,000 meters), Unity free-falls and flies into suborbital space under the power of its own rocket motor.

As many as six passengers and two pilots can go into suborbital space at once. VSS Unity has flown to the final frontier four times so far, all of which are still in the flight test phase. Unity is currently discontinued due to maintenance and upgrade work on VMS Eve, which is expected to continue through the middle of this year.

Virgin Galatic's competitor, Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin, has already brought civilians into suborbital space with New Shepard. It is recorded that Blue Origin has made four flights of space tourism.
