According to Research, Rich or Poor People Can Be Seen From The Face! Here's the Difference!

A person's appearance can often represent his economic situation. Usually, rich people are characterized by expensive branded clothes, and vice versa, regardless of how they look.

Talking about the face, a person's economic status can not only be seen from appearance. This is revealed by a study from a study that has been published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.

Research conducted by researchers at the University of Toronto, Canada, shows that there is a relationship between welfare and a person's economic condition.

"The relationship between well-being and social class has been demonstrated by a number of previous studies," R. Thora Bjornsdottir, a graduate student at the University of Toronto and a co-author of the study, told CNBC Make It.

The Difference Between Rich and Poor People

According to the study, people who have money tend to be happier. It is said that rich people are less anxious than those who struggle just to make ends meet.

Bjornsdottir and his team say the difference in well-being is really reflected on people's faces. The research they did was to select the subject of a black and white photo consisting of 80 photos of men and 80 photos of women without tattoos or piercings.

Half of the faces in the photos were of upper class status, and the other half were working class. In addition, all faces also show a neutral expression.

Then the researchers showed the photos to others to guess the social class of the people in the photos. Ae as many as 68% answered correctly.

"When asked how, they don't know. They don't realize how they can guess right," said Bjornsdottir.
